Worship

Worship at Hounslow URCWe gather to worship twice a month, on the 2nd & 4th Sundays. All services start at 11am.

Holy Communion – fourth Sunday in month.

Our services last for about an hour, and are led by either our minister, or by a visiting preacher.  The first part of the service usually includes a short talk, particularly suitable for children, after which they are welcome to use the activity table if they’d like to do so.  We read from the Bible, sing hymns, listen to a sermon, and pray for the world and its people, the work of the church, as well as individual needs and hopes.

On the fourth Sunday of each month, the service includes Holy Communion, when we share bread and (non-alcoholic) wine, remembering Jesus’ last meal with his friends before he died. All who love the Lord Jesus Christ, and desire to be his friend and follower, are welcome to receive the bread and wine; children may also receive if their parent(s) so wish.
