Back in March, when we planned our trip to Littlehampton, little did we dream of the weather we were blessed with on our day-trip to the seaside! It was going to be low 30s degrees C in London, so it was a bonus to have good air-conditioning on the coach, and a maximum of 25 degrees and a brisk, but pleasant sea breeze.
We all travelled together and then went our separate ways when we arrived opposite “The Windmill” at around 11.30am.
Littlehampton has been modernised recently.

The harbour area was redeveloped in 2005 and you can now walk along by the river to a pedestrian bridge which takes you to Littlehampton West Beach.

The seafront is undergoing a revamp at the moment but the beach is still accessible.
There are the usual seaside attractions of a funfair and crazy golf! There are plenty of places to eat, near the beach, along by the harbour and in the town (a short walk away). There is also a museum, a “Look and Sea Visitor Centre” and a Lifeboat Station.

Some people were brave enough to swim in the sea and a good time was had by all. Many had the tradition ice cream and fish and chips, while others brought a picnic or visited local cafes and restaurants.
